The May term runs from 13th May – 28th July 2024 with no classes 27th May – 2nd June inclusive.
The term is 10 weeks long.
Children can join our Swimstars classes from 3 – 8 years of age. If your child has not swam elsewhere they should join at our beginners class. We offer a Supported Swimstars class at this venue which is ideal for those transitioning from our Swimbabes programme or nervous beginners aged 4 and over, for more details see our Children’s swimming page. Your child will go in the water on their own while you watch from the side unless in the Supported Swimstars class. Swimmers will be required to wear a back float which is provided. Our beginner classes have a small class ratio of 1 teacher to a maximum of 6 swimmers to ensure individual needs are accounted for and children are progressed at a pace they are comfortable with.
If your swimmer has previous swim experience and achieved any awards from Swim England or the STA Award scheme they can join the programme at one of the higher levels, to see more details view our Swimstars levels page. For our supported beginners we allow 1 parent in with each child, if your little swimmer is aged 3 to 4 years they will require a splash about happy nappy up to the age of 4 years.
